Crane manufacturers Sennebogen and Manitowoc have signed an agreement to produce a series of telescopic crawler cranes at the Straubing location in Lower Bavaria, Germany. The agreement is for the production of telescopic crawler cranes for the North and South American market. The crawlers will be produced by Sennebogen and sold using the Manitowoc Grove brand name, a company spokesperson said. The new models include the GHC55, GHC75, and GHC130 telescoping crawler cranes. Crane collision closes road
A coach/bus clipped a city type All Terrain crane this morning as it overtook it, while heading north on the M11 motorway, near the M-25 in the UK, blocking one lane on the section between junction five and six. The two axle crane – a 20 tonne Kobelco RK200 - owned by Emerson Crane Hire – skidded on the icy road after it was clipped, and overturned onto the verge. Record year for Liebherr harbour cranes
Liebherr’s mobile harbour crane division has reported a record year in crane sales for 2014, with deliveries up 9.8 percent from its previous record set in 2008. Celebrating its 40th year since delivering its first mobile harbour crane, the company delivered a total of 112 units to six continents last year – a 9.8 percent increase from 2008 when the company sold a record 102 mobile harbour cranes. Terex Cranes UK held a customer open day at its premises in Long Crendon today where four 160 tonne Explorer 5600 All Terrain cranes were on display. Large Liebherr and JLGs for Singapore
Singapore rental company LH Construction and Machinery Leasing, a subsidiary of Lian Hup Brother (LHB), has taken delivery of the first 300 tonne Liebherr LTM1300-6.2 in Asia, as well as two 185ft JLG 1850SJ self-propelled boom lifts. The six-axle LTM1300 features a 78 metre main boom, a 70 metre luffing jib and a single engine concept which provides the power for the carrier as well as when driving the crane superstructure via a combination of mechanical shafts. Crane manufacturer Tadano has launched the ATF 100G-4 all terrain crane and an updated version of the ATF 70G-4. The 100 tonne capacity ATF 100G-4 has a 51.2 metre boom and an 18 m boom extension. Its maximum working radius is 73 m. Vehicle length is 13.05 m and it has a transport weight of 48 tonnes where the 12 tonne axle load limit includes 6 tonnes of counterweight. The first unit of Tadano's new four axle, 100 tonne ATF 100G-4 All Terrain crane to delivered in the UK has arrived with Crowland cranes in Peterborough. Demand for the new crane was such that it went straight out to a job, leaving no time for any official hand over ceremonies. Aertssen Machinery Services (AMS), a branch of Belgian company Aertssen Kranen based in the Middle East, has taken delivery of a Tadano GR-1450EX rough terrain crane. The company will offer the 145 tonne capacity RT for rent with an operator, a spokesperson said. It will be used for work in construction yards in refinery, oil and gas businesses as well as land reclamation projects and large scale infrastructure sites, a spokesperson added.
